“The Red Hat Accelerators program is a global customer network of Red Hat technology experts and enthusiasts who willingly share their IT knowledge and expertise with peers in the industry, the community, and with Red Hat”

Yes, I have been selected to join the Red Hat Accelerator community which is for me a great honor. I have been inspired by Red Hat products for the last 3 years and working 100% with the Red Hat portfolio since 2018.

During my interview with the Red Hat Accelerators community leaders they asked me to tell my story with Open Source and I responded that it all started with Lotus Notes. Not much of Open Source software but they saw where I was coming from. Lotus Notes was the breaker of boundaries, the tool that was thinking outside the box, the workflow enabler, the glue between unconnected monolithic systems. I was building applications in Notes and later on I became one of five global sysadmins to operate the whole thing.

We used freeware and all kind of home built solutions to manage the environment that stretched across 140 countries and some 70’000 users. No two days were alike and I was working with an awesome team where sharing and trust were at the core of what we were doing. Knowing each team members strength and weakness enabled us to become both effective and successful as a team and the result was a rock solid email and application platform for the business to extract value from.

This for me is very much what Red Hat represent with the amazing RHEL server platform and all the super reliable and useful middleware. Together this provides a stable and versatile platform for business to draw value from through applications and data in the evolving pursuit to create new value.
