The Sales Engineer include ELAB sessions where we set up environments, build and test different scenarios in automation. Using the application catalogue it is possible to select the components you need, have them automatically provisioned for your workshop or test and then when done the environment will automatically be rolled back and all resources made available so others can use them. This is an extremely efficient way of using test environments because there is no need to maintain environments in between tests.
Ansible specifically allow for automation in many aspects. It can build the virtual servers, deploy software that has been provided through Jenkins CI/CD pipeline. Ansible can pick up code or configurations from GitHub and deploy – but more than that: Ansible can work with legacy applications and deploy configurations, maintain server state, pick up code from various repositories and deploy or roll back.
